Free parking is coming to an end in downtown Auburn.
Finger Lakes News Radio reported over the weekend that parking in the city-owned downtown Auburn garage has been free since a fire caused damaged last May.
City Clerk Chuck Mason says a new automatic payment machine will go into service on this week.
“It’s all set and ready to roll,” Mason said in an interview with FLNR. “The two hour free parking will stay in-tact.”
Nights and weekends will remain free, but parking during the day, during normal business hours will cost.
