The man who led police in several counties on a two-day manhunt has been sentenced.
Brandon Burgess, the 28-year-old from Phelps, had already pleaded guilty in Ontario County Court to two counts of robbery, two counts of grand larceny, and two more counts of tampering with evidence.
In exchange for the plea, he will serve five years in state prison. He also waived his right to an appeal.
Burgess robbed a 7-Eleven store in Phelps near Exit 42 of the New York State Thruway. He was eventually taken into custody in Seneca Falls.
