Deputies: Palmyra sex offender failed to register address change

Deputies report the arrest of a 29-year-old Palmyra resident following his failure to notify change of an address.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a sex offender registry violation. Deputies say Jason Ward, 29, of Palmyra was required to notify the sex offender registry of any change of address within ten days.

Deputies say he moved and failed to notify the registry. He was subsequently arrested and charged with failure to notify of a change.

He was released on an appearance ticket and will answer the charge at a later date.
