Palmyra man charged with felony DWI after two-car crash

One person was ticketed for felony DWI after a two-car crash on Tellier Road in Palmyra on Friday.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Daniel Collins, 34, of Palmyra for felony driving while intoxicated and failure to yield the right of way.

Deputies responded to the report of a two-car crash on Tellier Road near the intersection of East Street in the town of Palmyra.

Collins, who residents at an address near the scene of the crash, failed to yield the right of way when he pulled out of his driveway causing a collision with a westbound van truck.

Further investigation determined that Collins was intoxicated. His BAC was determined to be 0.10%.

He was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
