This week the Waterloo Village board will consider creating an economic development committee.
The new sub-committee of the whole board would include a mix of elected leaders and community members, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
It would focus on ongoing efforts downtown.
The village has sought funding through the State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative, which it has not yet been successful in gaining.
Neighboring Seneca Falls won funding in 2019.
