One transported to RGH following crash on Lake Rd. in Wayne County

Deputies say that one person was sent to the hospital after a one-vehicle crash in the town of Ontario on Tuesday.

The crash happened around 5:52 a.m. in Ontario on Lake Road.

Deputies say Joe Brown, 78, of Buffalo was cited for failing to reduce speed due to special hazards.

After investigation it was determined that Brown was traveling east on Lake Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions.

The vehicle exited the roadway to the south, according to police.

Then it continued east off the road until it struck a tree on the passenger side.

Brown was transported to Rochester General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Deputies were assisted by Ontario Ambulance.
