Rochester man arrested on felony weapons charge after Geneva investigation

Police arrested a 25-year-old Rochester man on felony charges as part of an investigation in the city of Geneva.

Gerald Kidd, 25, of Rochester was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The Class C felony charge stems from an investigation that began in September 2019.

The Geneva Police Department reports that they were assisted by New York State Parole.

Police say Kidd had a loaded Beretta .22 caliber handgun in his possession. He had a prior conviction, according to police, and does not have a pistol permit.
