Deputies report the arrest of a 55-year-old Bloomfield resident following an investigation into falsified documents.
On Friday, Jay VanDyke, 55, filed for public assistance without disclosing all of his resources, namely multiple certificates of deposit.
As result he obtained $966 in assistance that he wasn’t eligible to receive. He was issued an appearance ticket for offering a false instrument for filing.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
