Meier family acquires full ownership of Greek Peak, Toggenburg mountains

The Meier family has acquired full ownership of Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Virgil, Central New York’s largest ski resort, and Toggenburg Mountain in Fabius.

John Meier and business partner Marc Stemerman bought Greek Peak in a bankruptcy sale for $7.5 million in 2013 and resurrected the Cortland County resort with $10 million in upgrades, much of it for new snow-making and grooming equipment. The two Elmira businessmen bought Toggenburg, a 40-minute drive from Greek Peak, in 2015.
