The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office says a Penn Yan driver is facing a felony charge after a DWI crash where a child was passenger in the vehicle.
Brian Lurcock, 48, of Penn Yan was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a crash on Route 16 in the town of Orange.
Deputies say Lurcock’s vehicle was involved in a crash, and a child under the age of 15 was a passenger in his car.
While deputies say the driver was not hurt – the child was transported to Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester.
The child is listed in satisfactory condition at this time, according to deputies.
Lurcock was arraigned in Reading Town Court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail on no bail.
The investigation remains active, according to deputies.
