Penn Yan man has to be extricated from vehicle after crash in Benton

9-year-old suffers minor injuries in Yates County accident

A Penn Yan man had to be extricated from a vehicle after a one-car crash in the Town of Benton on Saturday.

Norman Delooza, 66, of Penn Yan was trapped in his vehicle on State Route 364 following a crash around 2:30 p.m., according to first responders.

They say Delooza was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for treatment of injuries. A 9-year-old passenger was treated for back pain, too.

Her injuries were not considered serious. The crash remains under investigation.
