Police ask for help locating farmworker wanted in child endangerment investigation

Police are asking for the public’s assistance locating a man connected to a child endangerment investigation.

Isreal Lopez-Lopez is described as being approximately 30-years-old, 5’5″ tall, with a slim build.

Police released an image of Lopez.

He’s believed to be performing farm work in the area and was last living on Elm Street in the village of Penn Yan.

In addition to local charges against him – police say Lopez is a person of interest in a felony case in North Carolina.

“We are currently asking citizens not to take any direction action but to call police if you know his whereabouts,” the Penn Yan Police Department said in a press release.

The public can call 315-536-4426 with information.
