On Sunday night, Bob Dylan and His Band will return to Ithaca after a six-year hiatus to perform at Ithaca College’s Athletics and Events Center.
One of the most influential performers in the history of pop music, the 78-year-old Dylan has released dozens of influential albums and songs over his long career. From his early classics such as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Mr. Tambourine Man” and his mid-’60s folk-rock hits such as “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” through the rootsy late ’60s and early ’70s, the Rolling Thunder Revue of the mid-’70s, and his eclectic output since then, Dylan has continually reinvented himself and his music. His latest release, 2017’s “Triplicate,” comprised three albums of pop standards, all done in his inimitable style.
