Police: Seneca Falls man accused of grabbing woman by throat during domestic incident

On Thursday at 3:29 a.m. police arrested Jeremiah L. Peterman, 30, of Seneca Falls following a domestic dispute.

During the incident it was reported that Peterman subjected a female victim to several instances of unwanted physical contact, which included grabbing the victim’s throat – telling her that she was not going to get her belongings back.

Peterman was charged with second-degree harassment, third-degree criminal tampering, and criminal obstruction of breathing. While those charges are misdemeanors – Peterman was also charged with aggravated family offense, which is a felony.

Police say that charge was due to previous convictions.

He was processed at the Seneca County Correctional Facility and will answer the charges in Seneca Falls Town Court.
