As the rain soaks Central New York, ski resorts are rejoicing as they saw the first snowfall of the season.
Whiteface Lake Placid tweeted a video Thursday showing a coating of snow that fell Thursday with the caption “It’s Snow time!”
They say they have over five inches of snow on the top of Whiteface Mountain.
Skiers and snowboarders will love this, but if you don’t, the Weather Authority team reports we will likely have more time before snow falls in Central New York.
The average date of the first measurable snow is November 4, reports Chief Meteorologist Wayne Mahar.
