Deputies: Geneva residents busted on felony charges after welfare fraud investigation

Deputies arrested Daniel Batista, 32, of Geneva after it was determined that he assisted Kassandra Nardozzi, 30, of Geneva in filing false SNAP applications by producing false shelter verification forms.

There were three falsified documents, which ultimately impacted her eligibility to receive assistance.

Batista was arrested for falsifying business records; and Nardozzi was arrested for offering a false instrument for filing.

All of the charges are felonies, according to deputies. The charges will be answered in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
