Thruway, Seneca Nation agree to begin repairing stretch of I-90

Work is scheduled to begin Thursday to improve a three-mile stretch of I-90 that runs through the Cattaraugus Territory owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians.

The New York State Thruway Authority announced Wednesday that it had reached an agreement with the Seneca Nation to make repairs to the section of the Thruway.

The project, which is expected to take 8-10 weeks, will focus on the section of I-90 East and West between exit 57A (Eden – Angola) and exit 58 (Silver Creek). Work will be done in phases and will include a full replacement and repairing of concrete, along with replacement of the guiderails.
