POLICE INVESTIGATE: Four Lime Bikes burned up in string of fires reported overnight in Ithaca

Police in Ithaca say they’re investigating a string of fires, which were reported and confirmed overnight.

Around 2:24 a.m. police and Ithaca FD personnel responded to the area of North Cayuga Street at Cascadilla Street for the report of two Lime Bikes on fire.

Upon arrival, the fire was extinguished without incident and no further property damage was observed.



Moments later, another Lime Bike was located on fire in the 400 block of North Geneva Street. That fire was also extinguished without incident.

Then, approximately 30 minutes later – around 2:57 a.m. police located a fourth Lime Bike on fire in the 400 block of North Albany Street. That fire was put out without further incident.

All of these incident remains under investigation, according to police.
