As soon as he launched the ball into the air, Kurt Suzuki turned back and pointed to the Nationals’ dugout. His three-run homer landed in the left field seats, finishing off an improbable comeback as Washington stormed back from a six-run deficit in the ninth inning to pull off an 11-10 victory.
It was Suzuki’s third career walk-off hit and it capped the largest ninth-inning comeback in Nationals history.
