50 days later, power restored at Lyons mobile home park

More than two months after electricity was shut off at a mobile home park in Lyons, NYSEG workers have turned it back on.

Power at Canalside Mobile Home Park was restored Friday afternoon to all of the occupied lots, according to Lyons Town Code Enforcer Dick Bogan. There are 11 total units that have people living in them.

Bogan said the power was shut off on July 11 after exposed wires, old equipment and power surges were determined to pose a safety risk.

Some tenants said management at the park, EPCP Properties, did not give them adequate alternatives and they were forced to buy power generators to keep their homes cool in the summer heat
