Some much needed financial assistance is heading to private homeowners living along the Lake Ontario shoreline.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced this week that $20 million from the state’s REDI Commission will be for neighbors looking to repair damage to their homes or property. Many of the communities along the Lake Ontario shoreline, were severely damaged in 2017 and this year by the lake’s high water level; which caused widespread flooding and erosion.
In total, the state has allocated $300 million through the Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative or REDI Commission.
