People struggling with high water levels on Lake Ontario are launching a new push to get President Trump involved.
In Irondequoit Saturday afternoon, they came together at Silk O’Loughlin’s restaurant, one of the hardest hit businesses on the lake, to protest the management of lake levels, and to call for the White House to step in.
Their continued mission is to repeal the controversial plan for regulating lake levels, Plan 2014, which was first taken into action in 2017 by the International Joint Commission (IJC).
The organization “Repeal Plan 2014” helped organize Saturday’s gathering. The group recently set up an online petition to call for the plan to be replaced the previous management plan “Plan 1958.”
