A new sports betting lounge at Turning Stone Casino is set to open today.
Gamblers at “The Lounge at Caesars Sports” will be able to place bets on certain professional and collegiate sports at their local casinos. New York State will regulate which sports gamblers can bet on.
A Supreme Court ruling in May 2018 struck down a 1992 federal law that effectively banned commercial sports betting in most states, paving the way for casinos like Turning Stone to now offer sports betting.
While the grand opening at Turning Stone will be held August 1, “The Lounge with Caesars Sports” is planned to open at Yellow Brick Road Casino for the start of the NFL regular season.
The Oneida Nation said all-new sport betting venues will have LED terminals with high-definition resolution, state-of-the-art odds boards that constantly update and offer opportunities for in-game wagers.
