Ithaca business claims to have received death threats over President Trump greeting cards

Mayor of Ithaca Svante Myrick says a stationary store in the city received death threats over greeting cards the store sells. The cards feature anti-President Donald Trump rhetoric.

On Sunday night, Mayor Myrick started receiving texts from friends saying that Mockingbird Paperie in the Ithaca Commons, was under attack by a Facebook group presenting itself as supporters of President Trump.

“Our reaction was kind of shocked. We love this business. Mockingbird is an important part of our downtown community,” says Myrick.

The post on Facebook asked people to contact Mockingbird Paperie to let them know they were offended by greeting cards calling President Trump profane names.
