The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a driver following a crash involving a bicyclist in Owasco.

Lt. Michael Wellauer told The Citizen that the operator, described as a heavy-set, 6-foot tall white male in his 50s, was involved in the incident at around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of White Bridge Road and Route 38A.

The driver stopped at a stop sign, then went right on Route 38A – striking a bicyclist. The person on the bicycle – described as a female – suffered minor injuries.

Nearby businesses had provided security footage to the Sheriff’s Office, assisting in the investigation.
