Auburn has officially joined multiple New York municipalities in filing legal complaints as part of a class-action lawsuit against opioid manufacturers and distributors.
Napoli Shkolnik PPLC, a law firm representing the city and about 250 other municipalities nationwide, filed a complaint and court summons on behalf of Auburn at Cayuga County Supreme Court last month. The lawsuit accuses 90 defendants of actions that have allegedly fueled the opioid crisis.
