Lots of food, including ‘cheap eats’ from ALL the vendors, are one highlight of next weekend’s Ribs, Rhythm & Blues Festival.
Auburn’s Rotary puts on the annual event, which club member Heather Edmunds tells us also includes 35 professional cook teams looking for the NY State Championship ($5,000 in prize money is on the line. Some of the team will also give barbeque demonstrations on Saturday, 3pm.
There’s also live music through the festival, a psychic fair and, back to the food, five of the vendors are only selling BBQ, and all the vendors have a ‘cheap’ menu ($2 – $5) to help family budgets.
Most of this year’s profits go to Nick’s Ride 4 Friends, a local heroin, addiction and substance abuse help group.
