Deputies say that a 31-year-old Fairport man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car traveling along State Routes 5&20 in Hopewell.

The accident happened on Friday a little before 10 p.m., according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies report that Phillip J. Koff, 31, of Fairport attempted to cross the road in the area of County Road 50 and State Route 5&20. They say there was no crosswalk in that area.

Koff was struck by Erica Lawson, 28, of Rochester. Deputies say that Koff suffered serious injuries to his head and arms. He was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
