Mixed emotions in Vernon after word Vernon Downs could host Woodstock

No deal has been made to bring the festival to Vernon Downs yet, but there are mixed emotions around Vernon when it comes to hosting the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.

For the most part, Vernon, New York is a quiet town and neighbors said that's the way they like it.

"Small town. Quiet. It will bring a ruckus," said Nancy Sadler.

Sadler has been living along Route 31 just down the road from the Casino for more than two decades. She's concerned about the big crowds that would pack Vernon Downs and long lines of cars blocking her driveway.

She's also worried about the fans.

"I think they're going to get a lot of drunks and druggies with that kind of music. That's what concerns me," said Sadler.
