Republicans battle for spot on ballot in Auburn

Two Republican candidates are running for Auburn’s mayoral seat, but only one of them is guaranteed a spot on the city’s general election ballot.

Former mayor and current Cayuga County Legislator Timothy Lattimore and the president of the Cayuga County Landlords Association Brett Tracy II will face off in the Republican primary June 25th. The two candidates are running to be the Republican nominee, but Lattimore has already secured the Independence and Conservative party lines, guaranteeing him a spot on the November election ballot to challenge incumbent Democratic Mayor Michael Quill.
