The Canandaigua Braves baseball team advanced to Far West Regional and one game away from the NYSPHSAA Final Four on Tuesday with a 11-1 victory over Pittsford-Sutherland in the Section V Class A play-in game. Cooper Crunick was literally unhitable on the mound for the Braves throwing his second no-hitter of the season and finishing with 10 strikeouts. Seth Vigneri set the tone early with a 2-run homer in the first inning.
The win moves Canandaigua into the state tournament where they will face Kenmore West from Section VI. The game will be played at 3 p.m. in Batavia at Dwyer Stadium on Saturday.
