The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of 38-year-old Cheryl L. Susino following an animal cruelty complaint received on Monday.
Police received a report that Susino’s dog was tied to a tree in the front lawn without food or water. When investigators arrived – they found no one home.
Police confirmed that the animal was tied to a tree in the front lawn without food, water, or shelter for over an hour that could be accounted for. After attempts to make contact with the owner – the animal was seized by the dog control officer.
Susan was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance in violation of the NYS Agriculture and Markets Law and two counts of unlicensed dog.
Susino was released on an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
