Police: Home health aide stole $12K+ from victims

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a Stanley resident, who was working as a home health aide, after thousands of dollars was stolen from two victims.

Tasha N. Knaak, 27, of Stanley was charged with third-degree grand larceny on May 17th.

She’s accused of stealing a total of 20 checks from a pair of victim’s in Canandaigua. Police say Knaak worked for the two victims as a home health aide over the last year.

The total loss incurred by the victims was $12,350, according to police.

She was taken to the Ontario County Jail to be arraigned.
