Troopers: Student made violent threat toward others in Cayuga County

A 13-year-old Southern Cayuga Central School District student is facing felony charges after a violent threat directed at other students.

Police say that they responded to the district on Monday after receiving a report that a male student had made violent threats against other students.

The student was found at his home. Additional identifying information was not released due to age.

Police say the student was charged with making a terroristic threat. He was processed and will appear in Cayuga County Family Court.
