Deputies arrested a man in Summerhill after a domestic violence call on Thanksgiving led to multiple charges, including one felony.
Joseph A. Frost, 38, was taken into custody on November 27 after deputies responded to a home just after 3:20 p.m. A woman at the scene told deputies that Frost broke her cell phone when she tried to call police, and that the incident happened in front of a child.
Deputies charged Frost with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated family offense — a felony that applies because he had a prior domestic violence conviction within the past five years.
Frost was processed at the Public Safety Building and arraigned at the Cayuga County Jail. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Summerhill Town Court on December 9 at 5:30 p.m.
