An Auburn parent and mental health advocate has been recognized for her work in lessening stigma on children’s mental health issues.
Kara Georgi received a state award at an event in Albany Tuesday, the state Office of Mental Health said in a news release. The What’s Great in our State event spotlights programs and people who are “successfully advancing the cause of children’s mental health in New York State,” the news release said.
