Peterson won’t challenge opponent’s petitions for SF highway chief

Incumbent Town Highway Superintendent Jim Peterson, a Democrat, said he will not mount a legal challenge to the nominating petitions of Brian Sparrow, a Republican.

Sparrow’s petitions were subject to an objection from a town resident, but the Seneca County Board of Elections issued a split decision, which means the petitions will stand unless a court rules them invalid.
