Casey McDonald of Romulus filed challenges to the Seneca County Conservative Party Committee petitions of 17 people for various reasons.
But the county Board of Elections ruled that since McDonald is an enrolled Republican from District 3 in the town of Romulus, he is not eligible to challenge Conservative Party petitions.
Election Commissioners Carl Same and Tiffany Folk determined that McDonald does not “have standing” to challenge the petitions because he is not an enrolled Conservative Party member and he does not reside in the election district of those he was challenging.
Those challenged include six Conservative Party committee petitioners in Fayette, two in Seneca Falls, two in Varick and seven in Waterloo.
A full slate of committee members filed petitions for the Seneca County Republican Party Committee.
