First responders were called to a two-car crash in Varick on Wednesday during the morning hours.
Troopers indicate that fog could have been a factor, but that the driver of a minivan did not see a garbage truck.
As result, the minivan struck the truck near the intersection of Routes 332 and 96.
The driver of the minivan was treated at the scene for a minor injury, according to Finger Lakes Daily News.
