Tessy Plastics Corp., a global contract manufacturer based in Skaneateles with local facilities in Elbridge and Auburn, announced it has acquired NuTec Tooling Systems Inc., located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and Custom Tool & Design of Erie, Pennsylvania.
These acquisitions increase Tessy Plastic’s capabilities to support customer needs and expand the company’s tool manufacturing expertise, Tessy said in a press release last week.
Tessy Plastics has also been highlighted as a global leader by achieving a place on the Climate Change A List by the Carbon Disclosure Project, a nonprofit organization.
Every year, thousands of companies disclose data on their environmental impacts, risks and opportunities to CDP, the company said. Companies receive scores of A to D for how effectively they are tackling climate change, deforestation and water security. Tessy Plastics was given an A for reducing emissions and developing a low-carbon economy.
“This is our first year to receive an A rating,” said Tessy Plastics Director of Environmental Health & Safety Cindy Bush in a news release.
