The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the whole region ahead of winds that are expected to last through the day.
While damage and power outages are not expected – it will be enough to make traveling on certain roads difficult for high-profile vehicles.
Gusts will range between 40 and 50 mph. The Advisory expires at 11 p.m.
A Red Flag Warning has also been issued for parts of the region due to those winds, and dry conditions. Burn bans have been active for a couple weeks.
Aside from the wind, there will be plenty of sun and mild temperatures. Highs are expected to reach about 50 degrees. While it will cool off on Thursday and Friday – a real warm-up will arrive by the time the weekend gets here.
Wind Advisory in effect 10AM this morning to 11PM tonight. Winds will strengthen behind a cold front today. Make sure to secure any lose objects that may get blown around. Winds could result in downed trees/limbs leading to isolated to scattered power outages. #rocwx #artwx pic.twitter.com/AIJi1hhmJN
