In between peaks of sunlight, under field lights lit during a gray afternoon, those in shoulder pads and facemasks looked to provide their own sparks of energy and light.
The Hobart lacrosse team welcomed Wagner to Boswell Field at David J. Urick Stadium for a Northeast Conference opener. The result was a 13-7 win that keeps Hobart on pace to deliver on its goals of a conference title and NCAA playoff berth.
“This is a very unique team, both in terms of personality and skill sets,” Hobart head coach Greg Raymond said afterward. “Every year we work hard on trying to improve our accountability and our leadership abilities, on and off the field. Today’s game was one where we could have started a little better but, we made our adjustments and maintained momentum.
