Schumer to visit Seneca Falls to push Land and Water Conservation Fund

U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer will visit Seneca Falls this afternoon calling for the passage of the permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Schumer says the Land And Water Conservation Fund has provided $336 Million to preserve & protect public lands like Montezuma Refuge, water resources, and historic sites across New York.

The Senate had previously reauthorized the fund in the 2019 Lands Package by a vote of 92-8.

He’s urging colleagues in the House of Representatives to take up and pass the Senate version of the Lands Package as soon as possible.
