State Police arrested a Webster man Friday after they said he was drunk while driving 90 MPH in a 55 MPH speed zone.
Troopers were on patrol on Rt. 104 near Culver Road in Irondequoit on Friday when they spotted an SUV driving 90 MPH.
Police pulled the SUV over and found 18-year-old Nathaniel Ward behind the wheel. While speaking with Ward, police said they could smell alcohol on his breath and marijuana in the vehicle.
After undergoing several field sobriety tests that he subsequently failed, Ward was arrested. He was taken to a State Police barracks where he was found to have a BAC of 0.12 percent.
Troopers charged Ward with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana and several traffic violations.
