The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office helped save three people and two dogs from a structure fire on Saturday.
Around 5:48 a.m. deputies responded to a residence on State Route 245 in Gotham to find smoke coming from two apartments and the Old Mill House Family Restaurant.
First responders say that deputies were able to escort three people and two dogs from the structure without incident. It took around 25 minutes for firefighters to put out the blaze.
Gorham, Stanley, and Hall fire departments responded to the scene. Gotham Ambulance also responded to check over the occupants of the structure.
The American Red Cross responded and assisted the tenants.
Investigation into the fire is ongoing. Multiple departments responded to the scene.
