Romulus bus carrying students slides off roadway due to icy conditions

Officials say that no one was hurt when a Romulus Central School District bus slid off an area road in Seneca County due to slippery conditions.

Romulus school Superintendent Marty Rotz said there were five students on the bus, and all five were checked by the school nurse when they arrived at school, according to the Finger Lakes Times.

The incident happened at the intersection of Leader and Yost roads, according to the district, who said that no one was injured as result.

It took approximately 20 minutes to pull the bus from the ditch it had slid into, according to deputies. School in Romulus, as well as a number of other districts, was delayed due to icy conditions on area roadways.
