Police report that a 42-year-old Canandaigua man was indicted on rape and kidnapping charges following an investigation into an incident that took place over a decade ago.

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the grand jury indictment of Michael J. Orbino, 42, of Canandaigua. He was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree kidnapping, and first-degree criminal sex act.

The alleged incident occurred on, or around, September 9th, 2008, according to police, who say that it’s alleged that Orbino sexually assault a female victim while in the downtown area of Canandaigua.

He was transported to the Ontario County Jail and held pending arraignment.
