John Henry Yells Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on November 3rd, 2026, at home.
Born on June 13, 1942, in Seneca Falls, NY, John was the only child of John Henry Yells Sr. and Margaret Yells. He graduated from Mynderse Academy and attended RIT. Throughout his lifetime career, he worked at General Dynamics and Xerox in Rochester, NY. He took great pride in working alongside his son, Micheil, in their Father and Son Remodeling Company from 1982 to 1996 and later worked as a bus driver for Romulus Central School from 1996 to 2008.
John loved animals, building model airplanes, operating ham radios, dancing, and working with computers.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelley Yells Bannerman, and his son, Micheil (Darla) Yells; and Suzanne S. Wood, the mother of his children. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen Greule, and his parents.
Remembering others from the community
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 28th from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Seneca Falls Country Club, State Route 89, Seneca Falls. In remembrance of John, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Center of Seneca County.
