Seneca County deputy completes 67-hour instructor course

Seneca County Deputy Noah Rhinehart has completed a 67-hour course that prepares qualified law enforcement personnel to teach state-certified training.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office recognized Rhinehart Saturday for completing the Instructor Development Course through the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility.

The course provides essential training for qualified individuals who want to instruct courses certified by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services, according to the sheriff’s office.

It is required to teach firearms, physical training, defensive tactics and other courses certified through the division, the office said.

The sheriff’s office described instructor development as part of its effort to maintain consistent knowledge, standards and professionalism among the personnel who train other officers.
