CONNECTIONS: Cornell allegations raise consent questions (podcast)

Meredith Ouderkirk and attorney Sharon Stiller discuss consent, investigations and survivor support in an episode prompted by Cornell allegations.

The Nov. 3 edition of Connections examines allegations of sexual assault at a Cornell fraternity and the legal and ethical questions they raise about consent. The program discusses the allegations as unresolved claims, with the legal process still to play out.

Guests are Meredith Ouderkirk, director of public affairs for Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, and Sharon Stiller, an attorney of counsel at Abrams Fensterman LLP. Their conversation covers investigations, intoxication and consent, campus culture, affirmative consent, bystander intervention and group chats. It also explores trauma responses, prevention and support for survivors.
